  1. Worked with executives to establish strategic partnerships with collaborators and business accounts, to position the client as a market leader, and to identify future investments to maintain market position.

  2. Assisted business development executive to secure pre-clinical and clinical research service contracts from pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, universities, and research institutes.

  3. Mentored new director to develop and implement a plan to define immediate and medium-term goals.

  4. Advised the new screening department in the following areas: assay development, laboratory management practices appropriate for preclinical and clinical screening, and all phases of data management (data analysis, quality control, quality assurance, and reporting).


Gene Network Sciences - A Clinical Bio-Simulation Technology Platform Company

Goal: To establish strategic partnerships and associated business models. Support development of scientific advisory board, and mentor key personnel.

Result:

  1. Identified applications within the pharmaceutical industry segmented by therapeutic area, drug development phases, and information types that would significantly benefit from client’s proprietary tools: patented algorithm based on Bayesian statistics and novel algebras.

  2. Helped executives define and prioritize research and commercial programs.

  3. Supported business development and deal structuring activities to prioritize client base, business leads, and to provide strategic introductions.

  4. Prepared client for negotiations and participate in negotiations on behalf of client.

  5. Evaluated and recommended collaboration, fee-for-service, and milestone-payment models.

Goal: To develop and Implement a plan to capitalize on a new technology platform.

Result:

  1. Developed scientific presentations to demonstrate the value of the client’s platform to the drug discovery and development community. From this, develop strategic marketing presentations for new accounts.

  2. Collaborated with senior executives to develop a strategy and business plan to guide market focus, strategic partnerships, application development, future R&D, and to differentiate the client from its competitors. (Ongoing)

  3. Performed site visits to key accounts to clarify the real and anticipated value of client’s new platforms and applications.

  4. Clarified challenges for product acceptance and suggested measures to facilitate success.

  5. Developed workshops for current and future users to provide education, facilitate acceptance, and provide insight into future products.
