Becton, Dickinson and Company - A Global Medical Technology Company
Goal: To develop a process for managing ideas to drive R&D innovation.
Result:

•Developed an early-stage screening tool to quantify and rank new product and technology platform ideas.

•Built a stage and gate process for managing and testing the feasibility of highly-ranked ideas.

•Justified the creation of a new senior level position to manage all corporate idea flow and oversee evaluation of candidate ideas for endorsement and funding.

•Developed a new approach for performing voice of customer and voice of business surveys that would dramatically improve the identification of high-value, unmet medical diagnostic needs.
Ridge Diagnostics
Goal: To design and monitor a technology development roadmap for a novel diagnostics platform.
Result:

•Developed and successfully completed a research program to establish and validate first-in-class specifications for the beta and commercial versions of the instrument.

•Identified and prioritized three applications with high commercial value. Designed and monitored the successful development of these applications.

A Large Diagnostic Company
Goal: To assist the diagnostic division in making a decision upon investing in multiplex biomarker systems.
Result:

•Developed, optimized, and employed a questionnaire to determine how pharmaceutical executives use data from multiplexed protein biomarker assay platforms to make drug development decisions.
